For my 5th marathon I am returning to my favourite....London! I am very lucky to be able to do something I love for a young lady I love and for a charity I love.

My Lolly is now 17, she has grown into a beautiful young lady and it breaks my heart that she will never be able to do everything she would love to do.  She can't say I love you, she can't give me a hug, she can't hang out with her friends, chat on the phone, go to parties, learn to drive, she can't talk, feed or dress herself or even use the bathroom on her own, the list is horribly endless, all thanks to the demon called Rett Syndrome.  It is there, will always be there, I scream and shout at the injustice of it, I cry at the unfairness of it but still it remains.  This is why as long as my legs work, I will run for my Lolly and every year give back to the charity that is with me every step of the way...Rett UK.

Rett UK are a small team, they don't attract the media attention or fund raising that other charities do, so I will always tell people what a fantasitic job they do and raise what I can.  Every penny they receive is used to support families like us and the clever scientists on the quest to find a cure for Rett Syndrome, this used to be a pipe dream but they are getting closer......
