SAKA exists to help and support all kidney patients in the Sheffield and surrounding area. CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) affects many people, particularly as they get older. Less than 1 in 10 of people with CKD will require dialysis or transplant during their lives.Whatever stage patients are at, SAKA is there to help them, their families, friends and carers.

The Sheffield Transplant Team consists of athletes from their mid 20's to 50's taking part in the different events across the
weekend. We  have live donors within our team who have given to family members. The games are a way of saying thank you to the donor families and showing what life is like after a transplant.
