Story

With no ultra marathons to run I thought I'd organise one of my own. In the spirit of #StayHomeSaveLives it's in my garden. Through the month of April I'll run 1 mile according to my watch each day completely in my back garden (quite a few laps 😆). All being well this takes me to a 30 mile ultra marathon distance. Yes it might get a little tedious but I'm thinking of it as an ultra with a checkpoint, food, and (alcoholic) drink, every mile 😄 (sounds amazing!).

I'm going to add £5 (plus gift aid) to the pot for every mile completed and would love it if other people joined in. If you fancy having a go simply complete your mile and add your fiver and a message! The only rules are:
  • it has to be a minimum of 1 mile
  • it has to be fully within your own property boundary. If you don't have a garden, special dispensation is given to use your street instead but remember the 2 metre rule.

Feel free to get kids involved and you can make the mile as interesting as you like, I'm thinking obstacles, dancing, singing, whatever.
