Story
This time last year mum was preparing halwa for the Mosque which went down a storm! However, little did any of us know that that would be her last iftaar in this dunya subhanallah.
Although life without mum this past year has been a constant struggle, we accept that her life now is without hardship and that she is living with ease.
Our mother was an extremely charitable individual and yet she made a habit of keeping it hidden. The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) once said: “There are seven whom Allah will shade on the Day of Judgement.” One of those being: “A man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity,” [Al-Bukhari]
With this in mind, and the fact that mum, as well as us, grew up in this community, we thought the best thing we could do for mum was to raise money, in her name, to go towards the West London Islamic Centre Redevelopment Project (our local Masjid).
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “whosoever builds a Masjid for the pleasure of Allah (swt), whether it is small or large, Allah (swt) builds for them a house in Paradise.” [Tirmidhi]
We would be so grateful for any donations however big or small, as it is the thought that counts inshallah.
Jazakallakhair for your time, love and support over the last year. It means so much to us and you are always in our duas
