Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to help raise a small amount towards the annual running costs of the Kinder Mountain Rescue Team which turns 50 in 2021!
They are funded almost exclusively by public donations, all of which go towards equipment and resources used on rescues. The amazing 50 member team are purely voluntary, yet are on call to assist and save lives 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
I learned about them on May 17th 2015 whilst out having a wonderful mountain bike ride with a dear friend, I fell off and subsequently punctured my femoral artery beginning the fight to stay alive (the KMRT website has more details: http://www.kmrt.org.uk/15-callout-sunday-17th-may/).
It is thanks to their treatment and calling an air ambulance that got me to Wythenshawe hospital that I am here today. After nearly 2 months recuperating I was cleared to leave and promised myself one thing, 'to live a life worth saving'. Injuries and some personal issues have meant I have
