Story

I love to run (despite getting older and slower) and raising money for First Steps is a great cause.  Perfect fit. I have also worked for many years in the NHS and know only too well the value of having great third sector partners working alongside NHS services to provide the best possible care to those needing our support.

First Steps Derbyshire is an award-winning quality assured eating disorder charity working across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire providing care and support for adults, children and young people providing coping strategies and recovery services which are directly commissioned by NHS partners and through grants from funders whose aims are to support individuals, families and communities. Their founding principles are built up from experts from experience having lived with and recovered from eating disorders.

Update (9/6/19) - Half marathon completed today; very tired legs but very happy to raise over £500 (including off line donations) for a great charity. Thank you so very much to everybody who supported the charity with your generous donations. And supported me of course, including loads of ‘shout outs’ which kept me going.

Thank you

Simon
