2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020

StreetDoctors is an award-winning national charity which trained over 20,000 young people in 2025, in the physical & psychological consequences of street violence. Training is delivered through a network of young healthcare leaders who empower young people to become lifesavers in their community.

Story

StreetDoctors teaches emergency first aid to young people at risk of youth violence so they know what to do if someone is bleeding or unconscious. That includes CPR.

StreetDoctors does this through a movement of young healthcare volunteers (medics, nurses and paramedics) who train 11-25 year olds to understand the true medical consequences of violence and empower them to become lifesavers in their communities.

I intend to run a 26.2 mile marathon over ten days - 2.62 miles every day. I am not fit so this will be a challenge on my muscles, but especially my knees! I am not hoping to raise millions but a small contribution to support this fantastic organisation made up of incredible committed young nurses, paramedics and medics who go so far beyond.
