We support people with complex disabilities to communicate and experience the world

Story

I have been doing a series of challenges throughout 2014, to support the amazing work that Sense does.

At 4am on Sunday 29th June in TOTAL DARKNESS. I swam 2.2km upstream in the Thames, in what is known as the "black ink" swim.

I swam in these difficult conditions, without being able to see, to raise awareness for the deafblind community that SENSE supports.

I then completed the 4 peaks challenge in The Lake District in September, climbing all 4 peaks over 3,000 ft in two days, with my great friend, Mark Tracey.

I am swim 1500m in the sea off the Coast of Dorset in September.

I'm now rounding it off with a 100km trek in Cuba, over 6 days in November, with over 20 other SENSE supporters.

Why?

Simply put, to raise money for SENSE.

It is an incredible charity that I work with and know well.

I can therefore vouch for the incredible difference SENSE makes to deafblind people and the tireless work the talented team at SENSE does.

I know that every penny helps.
