Story

Hi Everyone!

In April 2007 Simon became the first person with Down's syndrome to complete the London Marathon. Later that year, Simon celebrated his 40th birthday by running the Berlin Marathon.

Unfortunately this year Simon's application to run the London Marathon was rejected and he and his training partner John Dawson have been granted places by the DSA. Fully aware that the DSA have to pay for these Golden Bond places, Simon is determined to pay his way and generate the £3,000 to cover the sponsorship threshold needed, and on the way create as much publicity to motivate people with Down's syndrome to prove that they really can acheve their dream if they are willing to put the time and commiment as he has done himself.

Simon & John completed the London Marathon in 5hrs 44mins beating last years PB of 6hrs 15mins!!!

Thank you for visiting Simon's fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor Simon online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Down's Syndrome Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor Simon now!

Many thanks for your support.
