I am currently completing a project at University which is interested in the reasons to why men are less likely to seek professional help for their depression. I believe the barriers towards seeking professional help need to be addressed in order to encourage men that it is ok to have a mental illness.

Depression is a common mental illness worldwide, but is diagnosed more in women then it is men. I have a massive interest in this area and believe men need more support, advice and information when dealing with depression.

These are the main reasons to why  I have taken the opportunity to raise money for Muted (Men Understanding Treating and Experiencing Depression) based in Nottingham.
