River Kids, a West Lothian based charity, provide urgent assistance for deprived and neglected children and families. People who have fallen through the gaps in the system and need urgent help and support in often the most desparate of circumstances.

As well as the fantastic work they do at Christmas time in providing gifts to those children who would otherwise receive nothing, River Kids provides urgent assistance for West Lothian children and families in need, in a variety of different ways. For example, paying for hotel accommodation for a family trip to a theme park, or paying for baby equipment for a new born child. These families have a real need and are often caught up in very challenging situations out with their control.

Can you imagine a child, waking up alone on Christmas Day, no Christmas tree twinkling in the background?  No family to share a Christmas hug?  Not even a present to open?

At Simply Solutions our team are committed to local and national charity organisations.  River Kids need not just our support, but they also need your support.

Our aim, is to provide as many children as possible in West Lothian with a toy to open this Christmas.  For £10 your donation can provide a present for an under privileged child this Christmas. Bringing a smile to their face instead of a tear.

THE EVENT - The Dreaded “Jelly Wellie”

As we like to try to keep the fun in our charity awareness events, we have decided this year to do the Dreaded “Jelly Wellie” Challenge.

"What is that?" I hear you say.

The Jelly Wellie Challenge will ask every member of the Simply Solutions Team to vote for one of their colleagues to wear wellies containing their choice of 'filling'. Literally 'messing' with each other!

Each person will bid on their chosen candidate (victim) and the highest bidder gets to decide what delights will be poured into their wellies before then ensuring that the candidate wears them for the day.

Baked beans, Ice cream, Jelly - You name it, it's a free choice!  The gooier, the smellier, the better.  After all, it is all in the name of charity. 

Any donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
