In less than two weeks time, six of us will embark on the Great North Swim - to each swim a mile across Lake Windermere.

We'll be battling chilly toes, tight wetsuits and the flailing limbs of other swimmers for a great cause, and we'd love your support.

We've decided to try and raise £600 for Dimbleby Cancer Care who offer support and complementary therapy to patients and carers. Sarah (in our group) was really grateful to receive 4 massage and reflexology sessions from them while she was having chemotherapy for Hodgkin Lymphoma last year - and this helped her to get rid of some of the tension she'd been carrying around since the diagnosis.
