Story

Hello, I'm Sophie,

I'm cutting off all my hair to raise money for Hampshire charity Sebastian's Action Trust, who support very sick children and their families. Three years ago we stayed at their purpose-built holiday home with our friends, and sadly Jack died a few weeks later. The people there were lovely, and I want to "give back" to support the amazing work the charity does. It was a privilege to spend precious time with Jack in such a special place.

Last year my sister Lydia had a "Big Hair Cut" and donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust who use it to make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. She raised over £300 for Little Princess Trust, but instead I want my donations to go to Sebastian's Action Trust. Little Princess Trust will get my hair. So I will be helping two amazing charities.

Lydia's hair was longer than mine, so she could donate 13 inches and still have a bob. Mine isn't as long, so to donate 13 inches I will have to have a buzz cut. Thankfully I have permission from school to "brave the shave"!

The date is set - Sat 2 June at Belle de Vie in Petersfield - come and watch, it's at 1.30.

I hope you feel inspired to donate.

Thank you

Sophie
