In 2014 we were fortunate enough to give a forever home to one of the first Happy Paws rescues, our incredible golden retriever Lara.  Since then we have continued to support the charity and in 2020 we were ready to include another dog in our madhouse.  

In stepped Happy Paws and Lisa who paired us with a young dog who had been rescued from the side of a motorway in Turkey.  Before travelling to the UK, Toby was cared for at a shelter by Emre and his incredible team who rely solely on charities such as Happy Paws for funds.

Right now Turkey is in a horrific situation as a result of the extensive forest fires.  Volunteers and vets are working day and night to rescue thousands of dogs that rely on the forests for shelter and food.  Countless dogs have suffered burns and smoke inhalation and the local clinics and shelters are struggling to cope.

Due to Covid restrictions, there is no practical help we can offer, but we can't stand by and do nothing for a cause so close to our hearts.  So on the 3rd October Andy and Rach will be jumping out of a perfectly good plane at around 13,000 feet, attached to instructors and (hopefully) parachutes!

Lara and Toby are paying for the jumps out of their pawket money so every penny we raise will be going straight to Happy Paws and their teams in Turkey.

Happy Paws was set up to rescue as many golden retrievers from a life of abuse, cruel confinement or abandonment. As a charity we are passionate about giving these beautiful dogs the life they so deserve. Currently we rescue around 300 golden's a year and unfortunately it’s never ending. As long as we are needed we will be there standing up for animal welfare and fighting for the rights of as many golden souls that need us.
