Story
In February of 2018 many of us lost an amazing person in Max Easey due to suicide. Along with this and my own personal battle with mental illness, it made me want to do something to raise awareness of the stigma around mental illness, raise funds for the Samaritans charity whom provide exceptional services to those suffering with mental illness and to remember such an amazing lad in Max, the gladiator.
So after raising a little over £1100 for climbing Pen Y Fan at midnight in March 2018 - which resulted in getting lost on the descent. I thought I would plan something a bit safer this time round... throwing myself out of a plane from 7000ft. I’ve managed to get my friend Ellis to join me, hopefully this time we won’t get lost on the way down👀
Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged under 50.
1 in 15 people have attempted suicide once in their life.
These statistics are shocking and with awareness we hope more people will be aware that it’s okay to talk - whether that’s to a friend or a stranger, it’s okay to not be okay.
End the stigma.
