The Snowdon Back Up Challenge!
We loved it so much last year that we are chomping at the bit to conquer our beloved Snowdon again in this years Back up Push to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity that supports the survivors of spinal injury.
Again our team consists of 15 mad pushers/pullers and one even madder member who will be in a specially adapted all terrain wheelchair.
Brian Roberts is an inspiring young sportsman, who before his motorbike accident in 1996, was involved in fell running, mountain biking and boxing. Since his recovery, he continues to be active with badminton,(was No 1 in Wales and competed in the 4 nations) quad biking and more recently has been competing in Karting at a fairly high level including the British Go-Karting Championship.
Brian is an inspiration to others who have acquired spinal injuries, by teaching wheelchair skills to others and its a privilege to have Brian as a team member.
Our amazing all terrain wheelchair has been kindly loaned to us by
RGK wheelchairs who have been creating bespoke wheelchairs for over 25 years. Their ethos is to provide each wheelchair user with the potential to live their life to the full with a chair fit for each individual purpose.
Today they continue to innovate, so that their customers can believe, live, inspire.

Back Up is a unique national charity that inspires people to transform their lives and challenges perceptions of disability. Their service include wheelchair skills training, mentoring and rehabilitative activity courses as well as support in getting back to work or school after an injury. All their services help to build confidence and independence. They aim to show people that they can still realise their potential after a spinal cord injury and get the most out of life.
