Story
Sooooo. Don't ask me why but this year I've set myself the personal challenge of going Vegan for the whole of January in support of Veganuary.
Why take part in Veganuary? Well, why not?
There are so many reasons people decide to try vegan.
For most, a love of animals is the catalyst. Some people want to feel better about themselves and the impact they make on the world.
I personally wanted to set myself a challenge by combining Veganuary with my ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ and trying a vegan diet as a healthier start to the year. And it definitely will be a challenge: cutting out meat and fish would have been hard enough but cutting out dairies too, well, that's just another level of making life harder for myself!
I've not set myself a target for this because I'm not really doing it to raise money but if you feel you agree with Veganuary's cause (see below) feel free to sponsor me! Thank you!
Why donate?
Because the most abused animals on our planet – the farmed animals – are typically overlooked. We are changing that. Veganuary’s mission is to reduce the suffering of these animals by inspiring people to try vegan in January, and throughout the rest of the year.
Over 40,000 people have pledged to try vegan, with more than 63% of those committing to stay vegan. Reducing the demand for animal products is tackling the root cause of animal suffering and spares millions of pigs, chickens, cows and other animals a life of misery.
