I am raising money for the Child’s i foundation which is an incredible organisation who are clearly passionate about transforming the lives of abandoned children in Uganda. CiF rely on donations to fund their work. The money raised is used to make sure abandoned children in Uganda are cared for in loving families, not institutions. 

I currently work as a Supervising Social Worker for Blue Sky Fostering here in England. This role involves working and supporting both foster carers and the children in their care. I will be visiting CiF in Kampala, Uganda in October for three weeks to share skills and knowledge gained with Blue Sky to contribute a small part towards strengthening and developing CiF's foster care programme. The costs of my visit to Uganda are covered by Blue Sky so the money raised through fundraising will go straight to the charity in full. 

To help raise funds for the charity my wonderful (and slightly mad) boyfriend, Ben Arnett will be cycling around 500 miles (800 Kilometres) in 5 days. He will be touring around all 8 Blue Sky offices from Chatham, to Portslade, then Swanwick, Romsey and Ringwood then Ivybridge in Devon, up to Bristol and finishing at Basingstoke. I will be following him (in my car) with supplies and stopping at each office. 

Ben will also be raising money for Diabetes UK through this ride and we wanted to split any money raised between the two charities 50/50, but JustGiving won't allow it so we have had to set up two pages and hope any donations even out between the two!
