We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

We are taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2017, as a team relay swimming the distance of the Channel in 1 day to raise money for Aspire.

As RLSS Pool Lifeguards spinal injury is a large part of our training. Due to the many risks of the swimming pool. e.g. diving too shallow and hitting the pool bottom & collisions with other swimmers. This is why prevention is such an important part of our job. We are not fun stoppers, we are accident preventers!

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. This is a big challenge, but the more we raise, the more of a difference we will make, so please be generous!
