We undertake global conservation work to ensure people and nature both thrive

Story

On 27 & 28 May we are doing a 106 mile, two day cycle ride from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History to ZSL London Zoo to highlight the rate of species decline. Over half of Earth's animal species were lost in the 40 years between 1970 and 2010 and this is predicted to rise to two thirds of all species by 2020.

The Museum of Natural History houses the Oxford Dodo, extinct since the 1600s. The Zoological Society of London runs conservation programmes in Britain and over 50 countries worldwide and the conservation of wild animals and their natural habitats is fundamental to their mission. Along with the World Wildlife Fund and others, ZSL is a partner organisation of United for Wildlife. United for Wildlife was created by The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in June 2014.

Whilst we'd like to help with the good work that all of these charities are doing the World Wildlife Fund is the world's leading independent conservation organisation and the one we've chosen to support this time. We know that our epic bike ride won't in itself stop the shocking rate of species decline, but with your help we'll at least be heading in the right direction - your £2,000 will help protect some of the world's most endangered species including Amur Leopards, Mountain Gorillas and Black Rhinos. Please donate all that you can so that we can help save these animals from extinction.
