Story

I've done the London Marathon, I've skydived, I've done daft things but this is going to be the HARDEST FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE OF MY LIFE!!!

Dorothy House covers a 700 square mile radius so we've all been tasked with doing a challenge involving the number 700.  My evil colleague Jen Steele nominated me to be quiet for 700 minutes.  What?!!  I'll show her and you all...I can do this (with lots of duct tape....and tears!).

All sponsorship will be incredibly grateful appreciated and will help keep me going through the 42,000 seconds of sheer pain.

But it's worth it as Dorothy House has cared for lots of amazing people who I love beyond measure.  This is for you Johnboy Best, Marilyn Pugh, Jo Wickens and all the wonderful people who've been cared for by our beloved hospice.  It's also in memory of my lush Grandma and in support of my awesome cousin Tom who's fighting right now.  My silence is nothing in comparison with what so many people have been through and are going through now.  You are all my inspirations and I want to do you proud.

I have chosen a Thursday to make it as hard as possible for me.  In the morning and evening I'll be with Pete, Harry and Tilly who can laugh at me (i.e. wind me up!).  I'm getting a lift to and from work with Verity so she can talk at me (I chose to have company so no-one can accuse me of cheating!) and I'll be at work all day with an office full of people who are relishing the idea of watching me squirm.  I think it's going to be a LONG day.  I'll keep you posted with my updates....of pain!!

My Rules
•    700 minutes = 11 hours 40 minutes
•    Start time @ 7.57am
•    End time @ 7.37pm
•    Date Thursday 21st March 2019
•    If Emily speaks – Emily donates £1
•    If Emily laughs – Emily donates £1
(I was going to donate £5 each time but my manager said "you're not that rich Emily" - what cheek!).

#700 Background
You may be wondering what the #700 challenge is? Well, the Dorothy House catchment area is 700sq miles so its an easy number to remember but a challenging number of things to commit to doing. Thats the idea! I'm taking on the Dorothy House #700 Challenge to raise vital funds for their work and also have some fun along the way.Dorothy House provides care to people with a life-limiting illness, and their families and carers. All care is free of charge and is available wherever and whenever it is needed. All teams work together to ensure that those they support can live well and die well. The hospice believes that death is a part of life and that everybody should receive outstanding palliative and end of life care. By supporting me to do my #700 Challenge, you are helping to directly support the work of this vital charity, and enables them to be there for people when it really matters most.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!
