We raise funds and awareness to support families affected by CMV.

Story

Cmv is a virus affecting unborn babies that can cause deafness, blindness, epililpsy, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism and other serious birth defects. There are tests that can be  done to check for the virus but the NHS wont provide it and there is little awareness for this high risk virus. It can also be caught after birth  via body fluids and chicken pox although the symptoms are less severe can still cause life changing conditions. Which leads me to my little girl who caught this virus after chicken pox as doctor would not prescribe anything to help her which has now led to her being profoundly deaf in one ear. She is doing well and hasn't affected her to much. She is a lucky one from this virus but 2-3 babies  born every day will be born with this virus and will not be so lucky. Please be aware
