As some of you may know I quite like a bit of running, but preferably though fields and mud rather than on a road.  The furthest road race I have completed is a half marathon, so it is going to be a real challenge to complete the London Marathon.  I can't promise I'll be fast, or even run the whole thing, but I will finish it even if I have to crawl over the line.

I am raising money for the MS Research and Relief Fund (MSRRF), a charity based in Morpeth, which supports people affected by MS and their primary carers throughout the North East. 

This support comes in the form of free-of-charge Complementary Therapies and Exercise sessions to help ease the symptoms of MS and increase fitness and mobility. MSRRF also offers grants for financial assistance throughout the UK, meaning the Charity is able to help as many people affected by MS as possible. 

MS is a chronic condition of the Central Nervous System. Symptoms can include fatigue, muscle spasticity, numbness and/or cognitive
dysfunction . MS is not hereditary, contagious or terminal, but people with MS will live with the symptoms of the condition for the rest of their lives. There is no known cause of MS and, therefore, there is no known cure. The charity's research has shown that its therapies and exercise provisions compliment conventional medicinal treatment to limit the impact the condition has on the lives of people with MS.

we can change the prognosis”
