Firstly I'd like to sayThanks for visiting my page. 

So my name is Stephen hider and ive decided to take on the crazy task of virtually running the distance from Lands end to John O'Groats 874 miles. Im aiming to achieve this by running around 25 miles a day for 35 days in a row. I'll be running in and around my local city Cambridge starting on Monday 28th of March.

Some of You may ask why such a challenge but if any of you know me you will know that I like a challenge. So with my new love for running i thought I'd try something big and try raise money and awareness for a amazing charity same time. 

So why The British Heart Foundation well again if you know myself and my family then you will know the connection we have but if not here's a little insight. 

So back in 2008 my sister and my brother in law got blessed with the news that they was expectig twin girls. Fast forward 9 months and on March 23rd 2009 our family was blessed with 2 beautiful twin girls Isla-Rose and Freya-Mae. Unfortunately Isla poorly when she was born and the doctors were not very hopeful that she would make it. Isla had a condition called dilated cardiomyopathy. It soon became clear how poorly she was when the doctors told my sister that they didn't think she would survive 24 hours. Isla although had other ideas. A FIGHTER A WARRIOR Isla was that and more. Isla pushed on and kept proving doctors wrong but unfortunately her fight ended on 16th of December 2009. From a baby that was given 24 hours to live Isla proved them wrong and she gave us 269 AMAZING days of memories and love that will live with us forever ♥. 

So if you ask why such a challenge then my answer is why not.  Its just a small challenge compared to the hurdles that my beautiful niece overcame.  A beautiful little angel that taught me so much in her time here that completing this challenge will only be like walking a day in her shoes.
