Please help to reach the target of £350,000 to develop and transform an area on Talbot Butler ward, to create a purpose built facility for an Emergency Assessment Bay (EAB) for cancer patients.

Story

For those who don't know my wife Sue lost her previous fiance Simon Railton in 1996 and the staff at Talbot Butler provided amazing care during his illness.

Back then they were  able to visit Talbot Butler ward directly  for any urgent or emergency care needed between treatments just by making a call - this meant that a focused and specialised care could be provided which simply isn't possible in a busy A&E department where the staff are overstretched and the risk of infections is higher.

In many cases time is of the essence - if treatment is provided quickly then it can prevent more serious complications developing.

This appeal will give Talbot Butler ward and its patients the ability to again provide the excellent urgent care treatment that is so often needed by staff who know the patients and their needs.
