Story

Somewhere amongst the avalanche of bad news in recent weeks
was the announcement that the London Marathon is cancelled, a body blow to the dedicated athletes taking part and to the legions of charities who would benefit from its sponsors. One of these charities is the PBC Foundation which supports people throughout the UK and beyond suffering from Primary Biliary Colangitis, an auto immune liver condition which is progressive and incurable, ultimately leading to a transplant for a significant minority of sufferers. In an effort to make up for  lost revenue, the Foundation has asked its supporters to seek out sponsorship for any activity that could replace the 26 miles of the marathon. I have committed myself to a 26 mile cycle ride over 1000 feet of ascent through Midlothian to the peak of the Moorfoot Hills and back . Any support for this bold veteran’s efforts for a great charity will be gratefully received. Thank You
