I will be running the London Marathon 2020 in aid of Dementia Revolution.

This is something I’m hugely passionate about and over the last few years through work and having the opportunity to support older people. I have had the pleasure to meet some incredible people, hear so many great stories but I have also seen the devestating effect of dementia and how cruel the disease can be. Almost one million people in the UK are living with some form of dementia - one in three of us will be affected by the disease in some way. In fact, Dementia is the biggest health threat facing society today. Yet, there are currently no effective treatments to slow, prevent or cure this cruel disease.

The Dementia Revolution is a year long campaign where the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research UK have joined forces to power the most ambitious dementia research endeavour the UK has ever seen - The UK Dementia Research Institute. In 6 centres across the UK over 700 researchers from a range of scientific disciplines will all work tirelessly to change the outlook for people living with dementia. Your support and donations will make a huge difference to this research and will motivate me through to the finish line!
