Barney Oram was a respected, and much loved teacher, colleague and friend to hundreds of students and staff at the college. A keen cyclist, he had just completed the London-Edinburgh-London ride in the summer of 2017 and unknown to him, and everyone else, was already in the latter stages of cancer. Having been diagnosed in January 2018, Barney dealt with the disease in his usual strong and positive manner. He died in December but his impact on the college and those who knew him will endure. Staff at the college are raising money for Barney's charities in a number of ways and this bike ride will celebrate one aspect of his big personality.
