Story
Myself and my sister, Jackie, having recently retired, wanted to undertake a sponsored challenge to help raise funds for Paul's Place. Paul's Place is a truly inspirational local center that, over the years, has supported many physically disabled adults to fulfill their true and full potential. Have a look at it's website...

But what challenge to do? Having asked around for ideas, we eventually decided that we'd cycle our bikes from Frampton Cotterell to its twin town of Kelbra in the former East Germany, west of Leipzig. (often, entering Frampton Cotterell we'd noticed the 'Twinned with Kelbra' signs and wondered idly where it was and what it was like - now we'll find out. Hopefully!)
Gathering outside Truly Scrumptious Cafe, Frampton Cotterell, from about 0845hrs, we will aim to set off at 9am on Sat. 29 August and call at Paul's place at around 9.15am before heading out along the cycle track towards Bath, and beyond. We will not be supported en route and will carry all our stuff on the bikes.
Please turn out to wave us off and, if you can, please cycle along with us for a few miles, at a nice easy (kid friendly!) pace!
We will blog our progress daily and you can follow us at,

Thank you in anticipation for sponsoring us. The money raised will so help those less fortunate than ourselves to do just some of the things, often very simple things, that the rest of us take for granted.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
