Story

Professor Stephen Tyreman, friend and dear colleague, died peacefully on the 19th of Novemeber 2018. 

Stephen made a huge contribution to the profession of osteopathy and influenced many individual osteopaths. His teaching and academic scholarship extended beyond osteopathy and touched many lives. His osteopathic care of people made an enourmous contribution to his local community.

The week before his death several of his friends and colleagues met with Stephen to discuss his work and to consider how to take some of his unfinished ideas and questions forward. We agreed to establish a legacy working group.

The plans are still in development. We anticipate holding some open meetings on topics related to Stephen's areas of interest and his ongoing questions pertaining to osteopathic practice, person centred care, ecological and narrative medicine.
