we are now officially up and running a big thankyou to all those who have sponsored me please spread the word as each and every £ adds to the pot

My daughter Vicky was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer), late May of 2012 and is currently going through chemotherapy treatment at Leeds general Infirmary spending most of her time on the oncology ward.October 25th she underwent a total humeral replacement which included a Bayley/Walker total shoulder replacement and a Flexi-Elbow and silver coated bone replacement of the upper arm (see photo). She recovered quickly and is currently continuing chemotherapy until it is due to finish around mid February.

After the chemotherapy has finished, Vicky will continue with an aftercare drug which will last for around 36 weeks.

She is doing well although she does tend to get ill often but is quickly treated by the excellent staff at the LGI.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the staff on ward 33, the consultants, the doctors and especially the surgeon Mr.. R.J Grimer for treating and helping my daughter through this extremely difficult time.

An extra Big thank you also to Jane, Jude, Caroline and Sheila and all the other staff at Eckersley House for everything thing you have done for me and being there on those occasions I just needed to talk to someone.

As some of you know I am doing a sponsored half head, beard, mustache and eyebrow shave for a very deserving charity with the other half being dyed pink.I will keep my hair like this for a total of 2 weeks.
I would like to raise a minimum of £1000 to help them help others like me in the future.

You can also sponsor me by text message as follows text VIKY47 £1  TO 70070 To sponsor more just change the £1 to the amount you wish i.e VIKY47 £5
