We are a group of 11 ladies who are part of the St. Herbert’s community in Chadderton, Oldham. Over the years, we’ve all had our own connection to breast cancer – Pauline was actually undergoing radiotherapy while this calendar was produced! It’s because of our own experiences with the disease - and also our connection with each other - that we decided to create our very own calendar. Whether we were there for family and friends, or suffered ourselves, we all feel as strongly as each other about finding a cure for cancer.

We are selling our calendars for £5 each and every penny raised will go to Cancer Research UK to help beat cancer sooner.

We are all happy ladies, with active lives, living independently. We might be part of a retirement community but we certainly don’t fit the stereotype!

We’d like to thank Gemma Gibson for our make up and also North Chadderton and Westwood community team (PBI) and Stanford Greengrocers in Greenfield for all their help.
