Storal Learning have made a commitment to end the stigma surrounding mental health in the workplace and recognise the importance of mental health support and its access for all. 2020 will be a wonderful opportunity to also extend this out to the children in our care, the families that we support and the young people who will be entering our settings now or in the near future, either as staff or as parents. You may have also seen the many advertisements on television about the rise in child anxiety – this is an amazing opportunity to support a charity that are seeking to reverse this.

• Young Minds work closely with young people and families and campaign on a number of issues impacting young people and their mental health.
• Young Minds activists campaign for political change and spread the message in schools, at events and online about how to look after your mental health.
• They run a parents’ helpline, which offers free advice and support to any adult who’s worried about the behaviour or mental health of a young person.
• They offer training and consultancy to professionals who work with children – including teachers, doctors and mental health services.
• They provide a huge amount of information and support on their website and on social media.
