I decided 3 years ago that I wanted to complete the 6 World Marathon Majors. With 3 down (NYC, Berlin, & Chicago) I've set my sights on the final 3. I have been unsuccessful in securing a spot via the lottery for London, so if I want to achieve my goals, fundraising for a wonderful charity is my plan of action.
I chose Team Sense in honor of my uncle who is blind. He was partially blind when I was a child, and I always remembered him wearing his stylish glasses, and fly outfits to hit the town. He was in the music business back then, and always on the move. He never let his disability hinder him and is now down in Florida living his best life.
Sense is a national charity that supports people with complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, to be understood, connected and valued. They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected. Together, we can unlock barriers to communication so no one is isolated, left out or unable to fulfill their potential.
Considering donating to this cause, no amount is too small, and you'll be helping me to run 26.2 miles through the streets of London!
