We are competing in Strictly Worcestershire 2019 in support of this wonderful charity. We are hoping that our participation in the event will raise awareness for WARS. With no local authority or government funding the charity relies on fundraising to be able to provide shelter, care, and food for the unwanted, unloved or abandoned animals they have taken in. As the number of animals increases, so does the need for funding. It's not just rehoming older pets that they do, but sometimes they get a pregnant cat or an entire litter of puppies to look after too, which brings another level of care needs.

Neither of us are dancers and the first lessons did involve an awful lot of bumping into each other and tripping over our own feet, so the challenge we have accepted will not be an easy ride. We are learning two dances, in the spirit of Strictly Come Dancing, which we will perform during the gala dinner in front of a judging panel. We will be competing against 7 other couples in front of 700 dinner guests, so the pressure is on!
