Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Royal College of Nursing is celebrating its centenary www.rcn.org.uk/centenary and to mark our 100th birthday and the incredible difference staff and members make we will be raising thousands of pounds to support nursing staff.
The Royal College of Nursing motto Tradimus Lampada: We carry the Torch, will be brought to life by the #RCNWalk100 by raising money for the RCN Foundation.
The RCN Foundation is an independent charity, supporting nursing communities to improve the health and well being of the public. As a registered charity they help individuals to develop their practice so that they can provide the very best possible advice, support and care to patients. They achieve this through awarding project grants and bursaries.
Addionally , the RCN Foundation fund provides assistance to members of the nursing team in times of need , providing that extra support they may need to get their lives back on track. they offer financial support and career development opportunities to UK nurses, midwives, health care assistants and nursing students.
Over the course of six months staff, friends, families, members and stakeholders will carry a replica Florence Nightingale lantern to every RCN office location totaling a massive 15000 miles!
As part of the #RCNWalk100 I shall be walking from Couldson Common to the RCN Croydon Office and I hope that you will agree with me that this is a very good cause to support.
Thank you .
