Our eldest son Tom passed away suddenly on the 5th of September 2016, aged 19,  from an undiagnosed heart condition.  We are raising funds for the British Heart Foundation, to try and stop other families from going through what we have, as a family. 

We are organising a series of charity events over coming months and years, some of which will become annual events to help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

The first of these events was a charity football match which took place at Oakwood School on Saturday 12 November 2016 at 11:30am, with a charity raffle taking place in the Brentwood Hotel following this.  We raised a massive £2141 on the day and we would like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of this, the match sponsors, the players and the referees, for making it a great day.

Our second event takes place on Friday 17 March 2017 at the Phoenix Golf Club, which is a charity auction night, that also includes pie & peas or a vegetarian alternative, a live band and a disco.  Tickets for this are now on sale and cost £12.50 each.

John, Ben and  some friends (Ian Kilgariff / Tim Robinson / Jack Ellis) are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 8 July 2017, fundraising for this will begin in earnest following the charity auction night in March 2017.

The charity football match takes place again on Saturday 11 November 2017 at the Phoenix Golf club, with food, a race night and disco following this at the same location.  Tickets for this will go on sale at the end of July 2017.
