On 9 July, partly to celebrate my 50th, partly just because,  I'll be doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for AgeUK. The route takes in
Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough - about 40km with around 1600m ascent.

Hopefully we'll all get to grow old, but right now 1 in 6 pensioners live in poverty, over a third of pensioners live alone, and many struggle with ill health. Age UK's vision is to help people love later life; providing research funds, support and advice and products and services tailored to the needs of people in later life.

Age UK is the official charity of the Lindum Spirit 2016 Endurance Riding event.
