Fundraising for Surrey Search and Rescue
Story
In April* I'm running the Fox Ultra. This is a bit over 37 miles. Last year I ran a total of 365.6 miles, which means running in less than 10 hours what I did in a month.
Ok - this is now all wrong now! It's on September 19th - I was sort of expecting this to be pushed back to 2021, or more notice. My training plan consists of getting used to running 10k this week, pushing up to 10 miles the next, then onto half-marathon distance the week after - given this is a fairly punchy increase in distance I'll look at the plan again after that.

I help at a charity, Surrey Search and Rescue, so I'm hoping tap up a few friends and relatives to chip in. They're basically like the gang from Scooby Doo, but at the end of a search they say, "We would have found the missing person if it weren't for those pesky trees and brambles." - oh, and nobody on the team wears mini-skirts.
As a member of the search team helping to resolve an awful situation is its own reward, but it costs money to get the control vehicles out there, insurance and lots of other boring stuff to make a search happen (volunteers pay for their own petrol to attend at searches).
I paid the entry fee already, so don't worry if you're a bit short - I'll slog around the course anyway.
