Our son David suffered a stroke on Christmas Day 2012. He received excellent care from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Blackpool and has gone on to make an amazing recovery. We are so proud of him.

Since then, with the support of our wonderful family, we have been raising funds to support the Stroke Association by taking part in the Resolution Runs, running Quiz Nights and other events.This year has been so different, but our online quizzes have been hugely popular and many people have asked to donate. We are so grateful.  And running quizzes comes far more naturally to us than running 5 or 10K!

 When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. That's because a stroke happens in the brain, the control centre for who we are and what we can do. It happens every five minutes in the UK and changes lives instantly. The Stroke Association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. They believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke.
