Dad loved sport - and he was always a runner. I run to clear my head, and because I enjoy it. It’s also a chance for me to raise money for an amazing cause.. Just before Christmas in 2016,, Dad was poorly. He’d had a cancer diagnosis. As he became weaker with his illness, a place became available at the Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading. This place was like a hotel for him, but with love, care, dignity and respect. One day he told them he’d prefer a different flavour jelly - next day, they’d kept their word. I’m running London for the first time - with my sister. And I’m also donating money myself - each time I run a marathon or a half.
