Story

I have always wanted to climb the In Pinn since sitting at the base of it many years ago and watching climbers making their way up it. Thanks to Adrian Trendall, a local Skye guide, who has offered his services for free, I am now able to hopefully fulfil my dream, at the grand old age of 65! I hope to raise loads of money for our local mountain rescue team who all give their time voluntarily to go to the aid of folk who find themselves in difficulty on our magnificent mountains. The Cuillin are the most challenging mountains in Britain and folk frequently get caught out with our fickle weather and the difficulties that navigation can pose in this rocky landscape. Oh, and it's not just the Cuillin where our team get called out...it's also the popular tourist spots like the Old Man of Storr, or the Quiraing, a simple slip can mean a broken ankle.  I have been in a couple of tricky situations myself over the years, but as much by luck as judgement, have got myself out them. Others have not been so lucky. Please help me to raise some much needed funds for these wonderful men and women who put their own lives at risk to rescue others.
