MY DAD.....

My dad fought a very hard battle against Prostate Cancer, which finally took him from us on the 6 July 2013.  We wanted dad to be at the finishing line when we made this journey to hug us as  we crossed that line, but sadly , far too soon dad was taken from us.  Me along with my brother and 9 wonderful friends are now making this bike journey together.

St Helena Hospice gave us our dad back for 6 wonderful months, enough time for dad to walk me down the aisle along with my brother. The Hospice is the most wonderful place. When my dad went in he was stretchered in not knowing much, he left the hospice walking and standing proud.

This bike ride is the least we can do to help raise money for them.

We will be doing lots of fundraising events through out the coming months, first of which is the 14 September 2013 0900-1500 @ Morrisions , Dovercourt.  We will have Dandy Lion (St. Helena Hospice mascot) there, cakes for sale and 5 or six of us on turbo trainers.

Any amount you can donate will be a step closer to the wonderful Journey.
