Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My story? I'm afraid that I'm one of those lucky people. I'm 29 years old and have gone through both my mother and my partner being diagnosed with cancer. While it was their fight I was left to watch and feel completely useless. I'm sure most people that have watched a loved one's cancer battle know how that feels. And that is only my part of the story, I cannot fathom what it's like being the one that's diagnosed. Remember me saying I was lucky? Well I am; both survived their cancer. Other people are not so lucky.
I am doing this for the people that need it most. For the terminally ill patients, for their family and for myself. The help and support raised through Swimathon can go a long way to aiding a person and their family while they receive the worst news imaginable.
I please ask for your help and support. This is for an amazing cause and we could help a family in need.
Swimathon 2017 is supporting Marie Curie, a charity providing care and support to people living with a terminal illness at the end of their lives. The donations made to this page will help Marie Curie to care for more people across the UK living with any terminal illness, and their families, at the time when they need it most.
