We have over 80 funds to support, enhance & improve patient care

Story

In the ICU we recognise the importance of getting our patients outside and exposed to sunlight and fresh air, the COVID pandemic has reinforced to us just how crucial this is.

At present this involves a trip along two corridors and a lift, accompanied by several members of staff and all the equipment that intensive care patients require.

We are aiming to raise £500 000 to build a “Blue Sky” balcony attached to the ICU which will make it significantly easier to provide this hugely valuable intervention to more of our patients, more frequently.

For our part a group of 15 of us plan to swim a cumulative 500km  over the next few months (500 Km towards £500 K ). That is 20 000 lengths or almost 15 times across the English Channel!

We'd love it if you could sponsor us and spread the word by sharing the link to this page.
