We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 2nd of April we will be looking to complete the Cheviot Route in memory of the truest gentleman there was, George Tait (Rachel’s grandfather) who sadly passed away on the 6th of February after suffering for a number of years with dementia.

The Cheviot Route sees the highest point in Northumberland, this route is 12.5 miles long, beginning at Harthorpe Valley, taking in the 2 summits of Cold Law and Broadhope Hill before heading to the top of The Cheviot and then returning via Cairn Hill.

I’m sure everybody knows somebody who has suffered or is suffering with dementia as there are currently around 860,000 people in the UK living with this disease, not only does this impact the individual but it also affects their family too.

For every £50 raised to Dementia UK 40 families could be provided with life changing advice/support from an Admiral nurse. Imagine the impact this could have!

No amount is too small, we appreciate your support!
