My wonderful friend Johannah was only 38 years old when she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She is simply incredible and coping with everything that is happening in such an inspiring way.  I want to make her proud but mostly make her laugh by doing something ridiculous and raise loads of money at the same time.

Ovarian cancer is a very complex and aggressive disease and often gets misdiagnosed due to the varying symptoms.

Target Ovarian Cancer is Johannah’s choice of charity and they do lots work to raise awareness and support women.

I want to help raise awareness of the symptoms so other women can hopefully be empowered to know if they may be at risk.

So I am going to spend 24 hours completing a 2.4km loop round my house in Cheadle, Stockport. I will aim to run lots of it but I’ll also have to walk, stumble and stop for a sit down/lie down too!!! 

It’s a difficult challenge but it’s nothing compared to what Johannah is facing.

We are meeting at Cheadle Green, Stockport SK8 2BD 26th June 1pm finishing 1pm on 27th June 2021. 

The route goes from Cheadle Green up Stockport Rd to Roscoe roundabout back through Abney Park to Cheadle Green.
