At the day services, people aged 18+ (called students) with a variety of disabilities develop independence, make choices, are included socially and hold onto important life skills. Their physio, speech and communication are overseen by qualified therapists. The regular trips out that students choose to do would not be possible without Parity's fleet of adapted minibuses.
We work for Parity and we strive to provide opportunities and learning experiences for adults with physical and learning disabilities. We have an amazing group of students and would love to provide the experience of being inside a planetarium. In reality we can't get all of the students to exhibits that provide this activity due to the complex needs of each individual. With your help we can bring a mobile version to all of them and share a completely new experience together.
Gwen, Elizabeth and Julie are completing a skydive on 17th September which we need to raise at least £500 each.....and we're scared stiff because we've never done it before!!
Sarah A, Sarah W, Julie and Peter are doing an abseil off the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on September 10th which we need to raise at least £90 each. Yes we've been to see it and it's HIGH!!
Please donate anything that you can to help us reach our goal and provide an amazing experience for our students :-)
