Story

Helping to save the UK's Charities One Plank At A Time!

To help raise vital funds for Solving Kids' Cancer we're participating in the #GreatBritishPlankOff challenge.

Participants: £13 donation to enter [Don't forget to gift-aid it as I don't think pain and suffering counts when it asks if you're getting anything in return]. Planking partners can be co-located, virtual but not imaginary.

Spectators: £13 donation to watch me and Malcs suffer via Zoom whilst you gently sip wine from the comfort of your sofa. [Note that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to watch so any donation you make is done so without expectation of anything in return.]

Challenge: 26-minute continuous tag team plank - one team member must assume the plank position at all times.

Time: TBC

Venue: In homes all around the UK

Winner: Least number of changeovers wins / Last plankers planking wins / Everyone wins

Eligibility: Anyone who can plank solo for 10 minutes or more is a complete planker and therefore ineligible.

Okay let's go! Ready, steady, plank!

Solving Kids' Cancer's mission is to save the lives of children suffering from neuroblastoma, a deadly childhood cancer that affect mostly infants and toddlers. Every 10 days a child will die of this disease in the UK alone, despite the most intensive treatment regimens of any type of cancer. As a premier funder of clinical trials, Solving Kids' Cancer is driving forward new research into finding more effective treatments to give children better options, and parents and families more hope for the future. Our charity also provides direct emotional and financial support to families, and supports individual fundraising campaigns for children whose best chance of survival may be in accessing promising clinical trials not yet available in the UK.
