I have decided that 2020 should once again be a year that I challenge myself while at the same time to commit raising funds to support an admirable charity. To generate the size of funds that will help make a difference, I know it is incumbent on me to participate to an event, which is completely outside my comfort zone!

I have therefore decided to do a ‘solo skydive’ from 10,000 feet. This will involve a separate day of extensive training followed by a light aircraft flight over Norfolk with me exiting the aircraft on my own! During the freefall, I understand I will reach speeds of 125mph before pulling my parachute, hopefully descending safely to the ground.

Helping me keep my resolve for the task ahead, two of my colleagues, Debbie Smith and Joanne Thomas will also be joining me, strapped to instructors for a tandem skydive.

The jumps are planned for either Friday 29th May or Sunday 31st May, depending on weather conditions.
